The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a curriculum framework designed for students aged 3 to 12, focusing on the holistic development of each child as an inquisitive learner, both inside and outside the classroom.
Rooted in research on how students learn, how educators teach, and effective assessment practices, the PYP emphasizes inquiry-based learning. It strikes a balance between acquiring essential knowledge and skills, fostering conceptual understanding, nurturing positive attitudes, and building the capacity to take responsible actions.
It provides a curriculum framework of essential elements — the knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and action that young students need to equip them for successful lives, both now and in the future. We work with the five elements to construct a rigorous and challenging primary curriculum for international education
